Poland also was present with the national stand prepared under the slogan „Relax in the countryside”. In this way, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promoted the offer of agri-tourism farms, educational farms and other forms of relax in the Polish countryside. The stand was one of the 46 Polish exhibitions at this international exhibition. The fair was visited by the Undersecretary of State Rafał Romanowski.
The leitmotif of the Polish national stand in Berlin was cultural tourism – cities, castles and palaces, and active tourism – water and bike. The exhibition presented the hits of rural tourism, inviting foreign tourists to explore the landscape attractions and cultural diversity of the Polish countryside. A significant part of the products in the field of active and specialist tourism is located just in rural areas. An additional attraction was a show of carvings by folk artist Marian Mółka.
Currently, tourists are increasingly spending their holiday amidst the natural landscape, seeking escape from the hustle and bustle of densely developed cities, polluted environment. They are striving for original individual experiences. They have such options in the Polish countryside. Rural areas in our country have a lot of beautiful sites, often with unspoiled nature, and at the same time, with the diverse landscape, unpolluted environment, original flora and fauna, free from the crowd. Therefore, the offer of the Polish countryside perfectly fits in „slow life”, „slow food” and „eco” tourism.
