Referring to the Polish presidency of the Visegrad Group, Minister Jurgiel stressed that in the area of agriculture for many years the Group had been working closely with the countries of our region: Bulgaria, Romania and Slovenia.

This expanded group is also called the Visegrad Group plus, as there are more of us and thanks to it, our voice is heard better. The formula of our discussions has already become a well-known brand, a symbol of a successful initiative for implementing common interests and a central element of cooperation in Central Europe – said the Polish minister.

– The states of our region play a special role through their constructive contribution to the further development of the European integration process. It is necessary to tighten cooperation on our path to achieving the common objectives. The Visegrad Group represents the interests of the EU Member States from Central Europe – stressed Krzysztof Jurgiel and thanked the Ministers who had arrived to the ceremony for good cooperation.

- In this ending year of the Polish presidency of the Visegrad Group, we have made efforts to develop for our region concrete and constructive postulates for the future of the CAP after 2020, as well as other issues important for European agriculture.
