On 21 March, the Undersecretary of State, Rafał Romanowski, met with representatives of Italian and Polish farmers.

The talks were participated by representatives of the National Farmers Confederation, Coldiretti, the largest farmers’ organization in Italy, and the Independent Self-governing Trade Union “Solidarity” of Independent Farmers.
During the meeting, the similar positions of both organizations in the following scope were stressed:
- CAP after 2020:
- harmonization of Payments;
- promotion and support for small and medium-sized family holdings.
The Vice Minister welcomed the approximation of views expressed by both farming organizations what will results in development of a joint opinion on the international farming organizations forum, Copa-Cogeca.
What is more, Rafał Romanowski draw attention to the fact that a significant issue for the Polish government is EU consent for improvement in public aid from small and medium-sized family holdings what is an important element of the current Polish policy. The Vice Minister also informed that another priority is protection of the Polish arable land. Hence, a dominating form of managing the lands will be their lease, not sales. Rafał Romanowski also hoped for support from the agricultural organizations for actions undertaken by the ministry. He stressed the significance of establishment and re-development of the dialog between the government and agricultural organizations.
