The Secretary of State asked for the fastest possible finalisation of the ongoing procedures concerning access of Polish agri-food products to the Brazilian market. This applies, first of all, to red meat, one-day chicks and eggs as well as apples. During the talks, Deputy Minister Bogucki stressed the high quality of Polish agri-food products. Minister Novacki declared the interest of Brazil in promoting the development of trade, noting the progress in the work related to access of Polish food to the Brazilian market.
The Brazilian Minister expressed the interest in the progress of the negotiations on the EU-Mercosur agreement.
Brazil is the fifth country in the world in terms of its population, and also the leading world producer of many agri-food products. The Brazilian middle class, however, is interested in high-quality products imported from Europe.
