Today, Minister Krzysztof Jurgiel met with the ambassadors of 5 countries forming the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw.

The meeting was attended by: Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw, Ambassador of Malaysia Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines Patricia Ann V. Paez, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Phạm Kiến Thiet, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Peter Frans Gontha, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand Manasvi Srisodapol.
The talks were devoted mainly to the issues of economic cooperation in the context of the progressive integration of ASEAN – Association of South-East Asian Nations. They referred to the opportunities arising for economic operators thanks to the integration of markets with a very large consumer potential – 10 ASEAN countries are more than 600 million consumers with very diversified expectations. The Polish producers and exporters are increasingly interested in establishing cooperation with partners from the region of South-East Asia.
Minister Jurgiel thanked the Indonesian and Malaysian parties for progress in access to those markets for Polish dairy products. He expressed hope on smooth proceeding with the ongoing negotiations in case of other markets.
